I just tried the SE X1. It sucks. I am so disappointed. WM6 sucks dick. There are so many limitations that you get used to when owning an Iphone. You can't zoom using your fingers.Menus look exactly like the ones on the PSP. Uses microSD, FINALLY. No stupid memory stick m2's.The keyboard is sweet. It's HEAVY, metal frame. Very sturdy. 3.2 MP camera is ok. No flash. Battery life was meh, 3G is good. HSDPA good. Everything you would expect in a windows smartphone. Nothing new under the sun.The phone won't be available at AT&T yet, they are still working things out with SE, but you'll be able to find it everywhere else.Ask your SE friends if you can try theirs. $600 is not worth it for this phone. Looks like I'll be getting an Iphone sooner rather than later.

where did you try it out? it could've been a pre-release prototype model or something. there aren't any for sale on ebay, so it probably hasn't officially come out yet[Edited on July 19, 2008 at 11:21 AM. Reason : ]

i was out getting coffee and the guy sitting near me had one. i asked if i could try it and he agreed. it looked great, but when i asked him to help me with it and compare it to the iphone, he said that with the enterprise features included with the iphone, you might as well use it instead.too many limitations with windows mobile.it was a 3rd gen prototype. it was 90%. hardware was finalized, software was still being optimized. the menu transitions were a bit slow - laggy, but otherwise it was fully functional.yeah dude, it's not out yet, and won't be for a couple more months, till the factory in malay. is fully online.[Edited on July 19, 2008 at 11:31 AM. Reason : it looks so nice, but the software is SO BAD.]

limitations with windows mobile??? what limitations are you referring to?
7/19/2008 11:40:24 AM
yeah what are the limitations with WM? also was it not running WM6.1? i don't think anyone will argue with you that the default today screen of WM6 isn't amazing - the plugins are where the usability becomes great

it was running 6.1.the software guys were complaining that wm6.1 was a shitty platform to program on.for instance it didn't have a native way to zoom in on text and pictures like the iphone. the two finger zoom is actually really neat. i'm sure you could program an app, but one wasn't included, which i believe is important.[Edited on July 19, 2008 at 1:30 PM. Reason : i'll write more as i remember, i haven't had any sleep at all.]

yeah... and skype... its the same windows vs apple... do you want a slightly faster proprietary software or a slower software thats compatible with 100x more utilities, games, etc.
