The All-Star game hasn't even started yet and I'm already not interested in viewing it.I should also add that Joe Buck is a terrible announcer. I hate his voice.[Edited on July 15, 2008 at 8:14 PM. Reason : .]

Fox does a good job with the NFL
7/15/2008 9:44:32 PM
^too bad the 49ers don't
7/15/2008 9:46:00 PM
Anyone remember when Fox Fox did games for the NHL and they highlighted the puck? That was by far the most annoying thing ever.I can handle Joe Buck, but would prefer Joe Morgan, I love Joe Morgan, one of the best.
7/15/2008 9:46:35 PM
every year fox takes more and more time just to get to the fucking event.
7/15/2008 9:48:32 PM
Buck is no where near as bad as McCarver.

I swear, McCarver has a huge Yankee dick permanently stuck in his mouth.
7/15/2008 10:07:18 PM
The network isn't a deciding factor to true sports fans.
7/15/2008 10:16:44 PM
fox just sucks... PERIOD
7/15/2008 10:17:10 PM
McCarver is pretty bad, but he's not the worst, I can deal with him. And I really like Joe Buck (slam-a-lama ding dong). What really pisses me off about their baseball coverage are the retarded amounts of crowd shots they stick between the action. Remember late 80s/early 90s broadcasts that would occasionally zoom out to show the defensive alignment? I think baseball on TV would get a little more credit if FOX would show more of the game and less of the dude in row 3 eating the hot dog.
7/15/2008 10:23:25 PM
Seriously, they need to get rid of the Andy Petite angle. Enough of the close-ups.
7/15/2008 11:19:26 PM
I've realized while switching between this game and some soccer game on Telemundo (damn they talk fast!) that the reason soccer is not so big in the US is because there is far less opportunity for networks to air commercials. The game keeps going and going while major sports in the US (baseball, football, basketball) have tons of timeouts, planned tv commercials, the NFL's 2 minute warning, etc. FOX, CBS, ESPN and family don't want soccer to be big in the US because they can't make as much money. That's my [conspiracy] story and I'm stickin' to it.
7/15/2008 11:23:53 PM
^ that, or the fact that i'd rather watch paint dry than watch a soccer game
7/15/2008 11:40:06 PM
It's actually because soccer is boring as fuck and not ingrained into society like baseball is.They found plenty of adspace during the World Cup a while back.
7/15/2008 11:52:30 PM
baseball is 10x more boring to watch on tv than a soccer game, ESPECIALLY an all star game. Dont get me wrong I had fun playing it, but watching it was another story.of course this is all personal preference [Edited on July 16, 2008 at 7:19 AM. Reason : ]

"only in usa"i was going to say something about "at least in america" but i figured we're already about the only country that broadcasts baseball so it would be implied]
