should be a comedy with pauly shore.

I doubt that it won't be political. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Oliver Stone fan, but he isn't the best at making objective historical films.
7/13/2008 10:03:55 AM
Yeah, I'm interested in seeing it, not so much for the educational value, but for the entertainment value.

I am sure the point of this movie is for Oliver Stone to tell Americans they are morons for voting Bush to President for 2 terms. Though the movie poster says the improbable President so it will probably be about what a screwup he was growing up, how he was a failure growing up riding his dad's coattails. I am sure that is the point.

btttAnyone see Oliver Stone on the Colbert Report last week? He was very pro-Bush and even claimed he was one of if not the greatest President of all time. He had to be joking but it was a really interesting interview considering the nature of Colbert's character. Can't wait to see this film!
10/12/2008 7:51:02 PM
it was pretty obvious he was being sarcastic the entire time since he knew colberts antics, but the movie does look interesting.
10/12/2008 7:54:34 PM
I really don't care how bad a president is, I think a movie like this shows an absolute lack of respect for the position of the leader of our country. Yes Bush has made a lot of mistakes. Yes people that voted for him probably regret it. But the fact that before his term is even up you are making a movie that portrays him as an idiot (from the trailers) is just despicable. I'm sure it will make a ton of money, and all we'll hear about on the news for a few days is about the movie. I don't care. I still think it's a shitty thing to do.

O wow, a movie designed to make a straw man look as bad as possible. The Dems tried this in 04 with Fahrenheit 9/11 and it failed. Hopefully it will fail again.I have absolutely no respect for Oliver Stone and will never spend a dollar on anything he has a hand in ever again.

No problem with the making of the movie, but it could have waited for a few years after he was out of office.I don't feel bad though, and you say respect, but SNL has been making fun of presidents and political people forever. John Stewart kills this guy night in and night out. So it isn't like this is that uncommon anymore, political office use to be a place that commanded authority and respect. These were the leaders of our country, smart people who were elected because of their ideas and intellect. But now, its a bunch of rich morons, on both sides. Dems and Reps have done stuff to disgrace the highest offices in our country in recent years, that people are just fed up. These shitty elected people need to be called out, so that when people vote they stop voting for these dumbass reasons, and dumbass people.
