ok, so gas prices are probably gonna keep me stuck in raleigh most of this school year instead of coming home to fish on the weekends. i'm thinking about trying to fish some of the lakes around wake county, but i'll need somewhere to keep my boat in raleigh. it's not too big, 16' long and only about 5' wide. i have a cover, so outside storage is fine. needs to be somewhere kinda secure, like a backyard or something. i could afford a small fee for storage, but i'd rather just take you fishing for free. you can borrow my tackle or whatever. i could also do yardwork (cut grass, rake leaves, plant bushes, i trim hedges very well) for you or something. i did professional landscaping and lawncare for two years.it's a 70's model 16' aluminum skiff i fixed up (new plywood floors, carpet, paint), 30 horse mariner and a brand new minn kota bow mount. my tackle is nice stuff. i'd cover all gas. all you have to do is get up early on a saturday or sunday and sacrifice a little space in your backyard. i also might wanna use a little of your electricity to charge my trolling motor battery if you didn't mind. i could just take it out and charge it at my apartment if you'd prefer.thought this might be an opportunity for someone with some spare room and no boat to get to go fishing.

few things i thought about...i'll need to have access to my boat when you're not home in case me and my buddies wanna go (i won't steal/tear up your stuff or kill your kids/pets)if you wanna go fishing you'll need to buy your own $15 fishing licenseif we catch any palatable fish of legal size you can keep all of them and could end up with some nice catfish, crappie, bream, or bass fillets in your freezerif you have kids you could bring them along as long as you have a kids size PFD (i have enough adult ones)although i usually don't drink on the water, beer in moderation is cool, but you'll have to buy it until until i turn 21 in february[Edited on July 13, 2008 at 12:29 AM. Reason : i think kids under 16 can fish off their parent's license]

it's called a storage facility with parking - it's what everyone else around here has to use because of HOA. price is about equal to slip rent.

i don't think i'd be offering to do yardwork for someone in exchange for a place to park my boat if i could afford that

i need to take some pics bad, been meaning to for a whiledo you mean what did it cost me? i got it for free, but it was trashed when i got it. i've spent a right much cash and a lot of hours on it.i like the older ones like mine better than the new aluminum stuff. this is an ouachita and they made the gunnels really thick and filled them with foam. really stable. solid too with ribs 12" on center. deck on the front w/ storage underneath. hauls ass with the 30.
7/14/2008 10:00:32 PM
yeah, was trying to see how much you got it for. free is best. lol.the new ones are $$
7/14/2008 10:24:52 PM
get that one of yours running and we can take them out on a lake together. that way when our POS breaks down the other one can pull our asses in.
