we pay for the turbo 10mbps/512kbps packagesignal (as reported by the modem):downstream snr: 37dBdownstream power: 3dBmV(this is at qam 256)upstream power: 34dBmVthese are almost perfect... my tivo (on the same line using a digital splitter) reports the same, if not better, signal (via cablecards).even the twc tech that came out here to install my cablecards said my signal couldn't get much more perfect.yet i've never seen our speed go above 6mbps down and 380kbps up. i know it's "best effort"... but come on. this is even at super-non-peak times (like 5am).what's the deal?

timewarner tried some bullshit on me earliercalled me offering a speed upgrade and a decrease in our bill. the speeds they quoted as being an "upgrade" were actually slower. luckily i still had a copy of our contract from like 2 years ago. called them out on it. they upgraded us to a faster service and kept bill the same. bastards[Edited on July 11, 2008 at 10:42 AM. Reason : and your downloads are f'in faster than mine at work.. they need to give me a bigger budget][Edited on July 11, 2008 at 10:42 AM. Reason : actuall my uploads were 5x faster but dl's suck]
