Yeh i'll get some pics soon. The sub rules. It is big though. Its covered in oak so it looks like a giant end table. It kills babies though.

I have to sell it all because i'm moving to Australia.

^^ it does dual room, but not dual source :/

^well its not quite the same as the hit from a big sub in a car because the airspace in a house is so big, but it'll definitely shake the entire house and make all your doors and windows rattle. I have the amp gain to about 30% and the receiver output to -5db and its still a little on the loud side of balanced w/ my mains. I'd really like to and planned to keep it in storage while i'm away, but neither my parents nor brother have room for it.

The TV is supposed to be picked up on Friday, but no money/deposit has been giving so its not for sure yet. I'll update the page if it sells.

Not intending to derail the thread, but just to keep things accurate:

No - you can use the discrete input/output jack set (which also happens to be superior).

well thats obvious, but i like how if you have a decent sub/speaker system and a well built house you can't really hear anything outside but inside its loud as a motherfucker.

and i like the "earthquake" effect on the neighbors

wtf are you talking about? "HD" audio, ie, TrueHD, DTSMA, and uncompressed tracks require HDMI. These are lossless compression formats or true uncompressed audio. bit for bit identical to the original recording. nothing can be better. Not all HDMI receivers can do this. some can't at all. some can take 2 channels, some can take 5.1, and some can take full 7.1. This one can do it all.

This receiver does not have a TrueHD, DTSMA decoder meaning that the players must decode and output LPCM over HDMI instead of bitstreaming it. This is fine as long as your source can decode itself (All HDDVD players can, its all the PS3 can do, and every bluray player i know of can) because its bit for bit identical. The future is decoding sources.

While we're on the subject, this receiver can also apply Dolby Prologic IIx and matrix rear surrounds (7.1) from a 5.1 source. not all receivers can handle that.

No, in the past no sources decoded and it was always up to the receiver to decode.

Perhaps 12 years ago, but any worthwhile source equipment does it's own decoding for the past eight years or so.

Anyways, good luck with the sale.

Sub is now in storage in Fairfax, VA if anyone is interested

I forgot to mention that i used a pair of Dual bookshelfs as the rear surrounds. Those are free w/ purchase of the Infinity front stage.

Take it all plus lots of good speaker wire for $500. Thats as low as i'm going. I'll store it until i come back otherwise.
