it's a dormit's closer to hillsborough than all the other dormsand it's a little more spacious per room than the proper dormsbut it's still a dorm
7/5/2008 12:50:21 PM
i hear a lot of black ppl live there
7/5/2008 1:02:30 PM
^,^^and it has a funny smell. but if you're in CHASS, you can't beat it for walking to class.

It used to be a hotel. Each room has it's own bathroom, so even though it is a hall style, you only have to share a bathroom with your roommate. It's good if you have a lot of classes in North Campus especially, but it is kind of detached from the other dorms since it is across Hillsborough.

Yeah, I wasn't trying to be racist or anything.. It seriously does. Also, correct that it used to be a hotel.

GHETTO AS FUCK

Yea, if you're black and living on campus, you're pretty much assigned to North Hall or Avent Ferry. Then again, I wouldn't expect different from a state that still assigns school districts based on where the different races live.

I used to cheat on my ex-gf who lived in North Hall with a girl that lived on the floor below her, that was a great few months.

used to live behind there. it was definitely a good place to find some shenanigans in the parking lot or in the vacinity. like the halfway house across the street and up a ways. im pretty sure there was an article in the technician a couple years ago about some chick that got raped in one of the bathrooms too. pretty weird article for a school newspaper, and i didnt enjoy it, but there you go. have at it.

I use to tutor at the WSTS that was in North Hall. It definitely had a predominantly black population there, but I really liked the environment. Everyone seemed really nice and together.

Wasn't black...lived there...not bad...I got fat though b/c I would walk to Bruegger's, NY Pizza, Golden Dragon all the time...especially a nice place to be when there is a snowstorm b/c everything is usually still open there. Hope you like it.My roommate was black. He smoked a lot of black 'n milds. But he kept it out of the dorm for the most part.[Edited on July 5, 2008 at 9:52 PM. Reason : btw welcome to the wolfweb.]

only thing i really know about the place is that it has a predominantly black population and most of the people i've known to live there liked it

My good friend lived there for 3 semesters. Its a pretty sweet location even though it is somewhat out of the way. The rooms are big enough to fit a beer pong table and quite a few people. My friend hardly saw his RA and was left alone to do pretty much whatever. If you already have/can make some friends, your room will definitely be the place to throw down.

i lived there my sophmore year. i had a great time. if you're really into campus life you may feel a little detached, but i loved it. the rooms are huge (comparitively) and we used to rage out late night and never got called out. i even liked the location even though most of my classes were on central campus.
7/7/2008 1:03:56 PM
it used to be a hotel, i'm sure the merry monk was a conference/dance room.
