The eyes in space pic makes me think of StarCraft more than anything. I'd love to see a Diablo 3, but I wonder how it will hold up after all the time that has gone by. I've already filled the time with numerous clones:

Titan Quest
Sacred
Dungeon Siege 2
etc.

I wouldn't be surprised to find myself burnt out on the genre before D3 even gets here. In other words... good for one play through, nothing like the original two as far as staying power.

The best thing about the move to 3d is that it's MUCH easier to add different looking armors and weapons, since you just need to put in a model.

I'm still annoyed with the clicking. I may pick this up, but I doubt I'll do much online gaming. It looks like there may be a *bit* less clicking in this one.

And, like all Blizzard games since they started making them in 3d, the graphics are unimpressive and somewhat disappointing.
