I had to rig this up to keep the snake I had from crawling into the lip at the top. So that's not because of damage or anything. It's in perfect condition.photo_photo.aspx?user=8166&photo=497912&filter= (No the dog doesn't come with the aquarium)photo_photo.aspx?user=8166&photo=497913&filter= (Cords are from two attached heating pads that are attached to the bottom of the aquarium. I can remove them if necessary. It came like this, and I didn't bother when I got it, cause I used them.)photo_photo.aspx?user=8166&photo=497914&filter= (Curious dog again. :p )So if anyone is interested, just drop me an IM or an email. is the aquarium only for reptiles, or is it sealed for fish?
6/24/2008 3:54:07 PM
I'm pretty sure it's just a generic aquarium. The heating pads on the bottom can be removed, and the screen top could easily be replaced with what you need for fish. I'll go fill it with water in a little while and let you know if it's sealed. Should be fun. ...................................................On further inspection of the aquarium, I have noticed a crack in the bottom on one side. The insides of the edges and bottom are covered with sealant, but with this crack in the bottom, I wouldn't trust it to hold water. Especially not 50 gallons of water. So to answer your question, it seems that no, this won't do for fish, since sometime in the past few years during one of my moves I caused a crack in the bottom that has spread a good bit. It' s nothing like shattering or anything like that, just two hair cracks that stretch out.[Edited on June 24, 2008 at 7:58 PM. Reason : Arg, aquarium, arg]

Bumping. Only going to keep this up for another 5 or 6 days.

that's cool. and yeah, any type of crack wouldn't hold up to the pressure of 50 gallons of water. I am looking to start up a second reef tank so I was just hoping to find a cheep tank
