6/18/2008 8:08:27 PM
So "2-week salary + performance bonus" = $13,000.Hmmm, I wonder how much is the 2-week salary
6/18/2008 8:08:30 PM
I get the standard Christmas/ holiday bonuses which are usually about $1,000, but my boss can be awesome sometimes and just throw you some cash just for the hell of it. Like the other day there was an extra $500 in my paycheck because "it was busy and you did a great job". Or when my mom was really ill and I contemplated flying up north to see her she slipped me a $600 check to pay for airfare. I prefer those random acts of kindness over bonuses anyday.
6/18/2008 8:22:19 PM
What's the largest boner you've ever gotten?
6/18/2008 8:30:48 PM
^^That's pretty awesome that your boss is like that.I get a max of 6% of my revenue. So far I haven't gotten over $3k but I get them three times a year
6/18/2008 8:55:15 PM
$1000 max so far, but my salary is pretty good for my first year of work so i really cant complain.
6/18/2008 9:08:06 PM
i don't get bonuses since i work on commission, but i've closed a deal that netted me $28,000. i have one closing in the next few weeks that will make me $42,000. not bad for 8 weeks work.
6/18/2008 10:11:32 PM

6/18/2008 10:23:57 PM

6/18/2008 10:27:23 PM

I don't get many bonuses as a federal employee, but the guaranteed promotions are awesome, especially when you consider that I started a year ago and am already making $10k annually then I did then. And in 6 months, I'll be making an additional $10k more. Accelerated promotion plan ftw!
6/18/2008 11:30:01 PM
I had sex with my manager several times. Although I'm fairly certain that it had nothing to do with my performance at work.
6/18/2008 11:52:36 PM

I would take small pay increases annually for a few years if the Feds would pay my college loans back.

Ooohhh yeah, I forgot about the bonus due to buyout - when we went private I got roughly $14k. 1/3 of it was cash money and the other 2/3 was reinvested for when the company issues another IPO. When it does that I'll be making $$$$$
6/19/2008 10:38:59 PM
i've gotten around $30k in bonuses since i started in jan 06i also get a cost of living adjustment that'll shake out to be about $50k when its all said and done-- thats over 4 years time
6/19/2008 10:49:45 PM
Very unprofessional topic of discussion.
6/19/2008 10:57:06 PM
perhaps. i think the more information that employees can arm themselves with, the better off they will be. if i knew somebody like myself was making more money or getting some huge bonus that i wasn't getting, i'd be more likely to stand up for what i feel i deserve according to market value
