he's picking the Indian (Jindal) for Vice President. he's going to attempt to split the vote, by taking a minority on the ticket. It's in play.
6/16/2008 12:00:43 PM
source?or just a theory? (good one at that)
6/16/2008 12:02:04 PM
i'm seeing Jinal's name and face more in the press. also in photos with McCain.
6/16/2008 12:06:22 PM
too much an unknown. imo
6/16/2008 12:06:30 PM
he needs to finish fixing louisiana first.
6/16/2008 12:07:14 PM
well McCain is in a difficult position. his VP choice has to be a power play. I see Obama choosing Biden or Edwards, either of which is a great choice.if McCain thought outside the box on his VP choice he could lock it up.
6/16/2008 12:10:24 PM
like Rice. if he choose Rice and Rice agreed it'd be over.
6/16/2008 12:11:04 PM
I think someone has smoked themself stupid.
6/16/2008 12:36:43 PM
Rice may be a little too close to the Bush administration for McCain to pick her. I mean Obama is already calling MCCain Bush's 3rd term, if he picked Rice hed be playing right into that.
6/16/2008 12:41:54 PM
http://www.newoxfordreview.org/article.jsp?did=1294-jindalAlways good to have an experience exorcist on staff.

^^I'm not sure if its true, but I heard that said exorcism was also a miracle cancer cure.
6/16/2008 2:00:18 PM
It would be too risky for McCain to pick Jindal.
6/16/2008 2:12:30 PM
^^ yes, he thinks he may have cured a friend's cancer in college with an exorcismhttp://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/2008/06/obviously_vicepresidential_mat.php
6/16/2008 2:27:25 PM
he picks jindal and he has no chance at winning]
6/16/2008 2:43:55 PM
damn. that exorcist thing was creepy. so what shot does McCain have. i mean there's not that many racists that would greatly influence his chances. its going to come down to the war ... but the thing is I don't think Obama will be able to pull troops out. its a disaster over there. a cluster fuck if you will. but i fill McCain would fuck the country 15 x's worse than anybody ever good. and he'll die soon.
6/16/2008 3:24:40 PM
what makes you think that about mccain amsterdam?Im hoping he picks romney.
6/16/2008 3:49:12 PM
Typical hardcore conservative. He would definately get the evangelical vote.
6/16/2008 3:50:04 PM
I think most protestants are wary of exorcisms.
6/16/2008 3:54:18 PM
i think jindal would head off any serious VP talk.i dont see him wanting to be on McCain's ticket.
6/16/2008 4:07:44 PM
^^You'd think they were wary of divorce and murder. But, that's not stopping them from supporting McCain who cheated on his wife and is planning on staying in Iraq.[Edited on June 16, 2008 at 4:09 PM. Reason : meh]
6/16/2008 4:09:03 PM
i think the mutual divide between McCain and the religious right is pretty well establishedand nice touch with the "iraq war=murder" calldumbass.
6/16/2008 4:14:25 PM
McCain hates Romney. that would be the best possible ticket he could have. Hucklebee is nuts, women would never vote for that ticket.
6/16/2008 4:23:45 PM
Lots of people wouldn't vote for that ticket.[Edited on June 16, 2008 at 4:24 PM. Reason : a populist who thinks we need to change the Constitution to reflect the Bible?]
6/16/2008 4:24:10 PM
I'm surprised that no one has tried to use J.C. Watts for anything.
6/16/2008 4:26:21 PM
Jindal is too early in his career to jump to the Vice Presidency, in my humble opinion. Given his potential, I'd like to see him run through a full term as governor before taking the leap into the VP slot, especially for a year where the Republicans are running a serious disadvantage.
6/16/2008 4:26:33 PM
J.C. Watts . . . oh boy. that would be like a secret fucking weapon. if they pulled out "Ole J.C. Watts". Total klansman move.
6/16/2008 4:27:20 PM
6/16/2008 4:27:46 PM
^^ Whoops. Looks like people have mentioned him.Watts on the GOP in 2008:

RON PAUL!!!
6/16/2008 5:45:26 PM
I think Ron Paul is slightly less likely to be McCain's VP than Hillary Clinton is.
6/16/2008 6:23:43 PM
I can see him choosing liberman. That would insure his defeat.
6/16/2008 6:27:34 PM
This sucks for republicans who like Jindal because if Jindal hitches his wagon to this losing ticket, he's going to be damaged goods in the future.
6/16/2008 6:28:21 PM
i see him not picking lieberman for the same reason lol
6/16/2008 6:29:00 PM
6/16/2008 6:54:57 PM
McCain / Lieberman '08that'd be a hoot.

^same result as ^^
6/16/2008 7:04:17 PM
i disagree...i think he could win with rice even though shes from the bush administration and i dont think he would win with lieberman[Edited on June 16, 2008 at 7:50 PM. Reason : but maybe i've been reading too many bob novak columns lately[Edited on June 16, 2008 at 7:51 PM. Reason : he doesnt win with anyone thats as liberal as him or more liberal]
6/16/2008 7:49:43 PM
I dont think he could win with lieberman, but I can see him picking him. He needs to shore up his base more than try to get some disgruntled dems.Cherokee, I can see McCain winning in november. I think if the republicans ran a better candidate it would almost be a lock. McCain puts it in play and it could really go either way. Running such a liberal wasnt the best choice, you would think they learned something from 04, but obama is trying hard to talk like a moderate... it might work.
6/16/2008 8:08:01 PM
you dont think mccain was the most electable out of him, romney or huckabee?....i dont count thompson or guillianiimo the repubs picked about the only person they could that had a CHANCE to win[Edited on June 16, 2008 at 8:13 PM. The only thing I didnt like about romney was that he passed a universal healthcare in his state. I want to make sure that he wouldnt have tried it at the federal level. If people want it, let the states do it. We need to stop these federal mandates.DNL, I liked Rudy, Thompson..before he got into the race, then Romney. I like Huck, but he wasnt electible.. like ron paul. But if I thought Huck could pass the fairtax or Pual had a chance I would vote for them both over McCain.

BC was expected to lose? The first bush was unpopular, the economy was in the shitter, and we had just gone through a long cycle of republican candidates. That's pretty much the recipe for a switch to another party, and those are the conditions that exist now.
