Race starts tomorrow at 9am eastern time on Speed. Got ourselves a good old fashioned marque battle as the 3 Peugeot cars will face off against the 3 Audis from the looks of it. One of the Peugeots took the modern lap record and they definitely have the pace on the Audis. However, whether the Peugeots are capable of lasting 24 hours is an open question. The best of the rest is a Czech-entered Aston Martin-powered Lola, that beat one of the Audis in qualifying and will start 6th. There's one small American team in here. If they finish, they can be happy. For LMP2, looks like one of the two Porsches will win. Although they have some competition from a couple of British cars. In GT1, we got 4 Corvettes. Two of which are the yellow factory-entered cars that we've been accustomed to seeing. The other two are being entered by a French enthusiast. They'll be battling against 4 Aston Martins, a Saleen, and a Lamborghini Murcielago. In GT2, it's a Porsche vs. Ferrari affair with 3 Porsche 911 GT3s against 7 Ferrari F430s, with a couple Spykers in for good measure. Three American-entered cars here.

^ One of the Peugeot cars has since gotten gearbox problems. They're having a hard time downshifting. It's now running 10th overall. One of the Peugeots now has a 23-second lead over one of the Audis. Jacques Villeneuve now in the leading car in his quest for the Triple Crown. Aston Martin giving Corvette a run, now in the lead, with the Corvettes running 2-3.
