I've never damaged a car externally before (I'm fairly pissed this even happened, but thats a whole other thing). Anywho- how much would this likely cost for me to have repaired? Buddy of mine said it could get fairly pricey, but I have no experience to compare it to. and yes - i've already searched for threads about where to go. my question is more about the severity of the damage and how much this kind of repair work can cost.

Is the hatch bent/damaged, or is it just the bumper? If it is just the bumper, it is a relatively easy repair.

thats prolly gonna run ya about 300 dollar bucks at most...maybe as low as like 30 dollar bucks
6/13/2008 1:30:02 PM
http://www.certifit.comthey have one out by the airport, looks like a complete assembly chrome cover ad bumper support will run you about $300, cover only about $120, looks like your brackets can probably be straightened [Edited on June 13, 2008 at 1:32 PM. Reason : gm is around $900 from a dealer]

4-carriage bolts4-nuts4-washers1-2 by 6~$20 maybe.

Just replace the bumper yourself, live with the fender damage. Should cost less than $100 if you find one on craigslist. Or you could call WeDoTrucks and see if they have one sitting around.

6/13/2008 2:24:42 PM

6/13/2008 2:32:12 PM
doesn't take much if you hit something on the outside edge of those

so certifit doesn't have my bumper in stock - but i found the whole assembly (bracket/pad included) for about 380 online. with shipping its going to be about 450. is that worth it?
6/17/2008 12:30:44 PM
if thats all you need, go for it. is it worth your time to keep looking?
6/17/2008 12:41:49 PM

6/17/2008 12:46:52 PM
hell you can find one in a yard, from a truck that has been fucked up in the front and its only gonna be $45. but if you have the money and want your truck to be nice with new parts than thats what you should get
6/17/2008 12:48:11 PM
