Usually I ride the TTA to my summer class but next Wednesday I'm going to have to take my car. I'm only on campus on wednesdays from 9:30 to 11:30 and I know it's only 2 dollars in the parking deck but it seems like just about every space on morrill is open.Is it worth the risk of getting a ticket if I park there? Btw, how much is a parking ticket at state?Any other suggestions or should I just pay the dang two dollars.

i'd pay the $2. they're real asshats at transportation.

Isn't there free 2-hour parking on Clark?
6/9/2008 6:21:46 PM
a ticket is 40-50 dollarsyou're better off paying the $2

^^yesI'd park there all day every day during the last 2 years and have only got a few ticketsthe last semester I parked every day in a secret spot that they don't ever check and I've never gotten a ticket thereI'm not telling anyone where it is though (until I graduate in December) [Edited on June 9, 2008 at 6:37 PM. might as well pay the 2$ or park on clarkit's not hard to get transportation to reduce your ticket, but that still costs morechances are you'd only get a warning anyway, though

you prolly don't wanna walk back and forth from clark when it's 100 degrees

Have you ever received a ticket before? If not I would park until you get caught and use your first and only warning. Behind hills st. there is 2 hour parking all over (and much closer than clark st) and you can typically stretch that 2.5 hours or so.Tickets are 50 at ncsu and I want to say 15-25 for 2 hour parking violations across the street.I'd probably just pay the 2 bucks if this is a one time deal.[Edited on June 9, 2008 at 9:44 PM. Ok thanks for all the advice, ^ if I do get a ticket does it say how to use my first and only warning?
6/9/2008 9:54:11 PM
^if it is your first time getting a ticket, they will automatically give you a warning unless you are parked in a no parking zone

If you park in front of Clark Dining (directly next to Colosseum Parking Deck/Pay Lot) those spaces belong to actually Pullen Park (sign reads Tennis Parking) even though its on campus. Those spaces are free and are not ticketed at all. This is where the dining hall employees typically park during the main semesters.

^ and ^^ are both correct[Edited on June 9, 2008 at 10:42 PM. Reason : .][Edited on June 9, 2008 at 10:44 PM. Reason : .]

^^^they might just give you a warning but it's not worth the risk. Sometimes they'll come by like a half hour later and give you a ticket on top of your warning. I'd just park in the deck if i were you.

^ Theres FREE UNTICKETED parking right next to the deck.

If you park on Clark for two hours, move your car to a different spot on Clark for another two, will you still get a ticket?
6/10/2008 11:19:29 AM
you're not *supposed* to
6/10/2008 1:50:42 PM
Park on Ligon or Cox. From there you can hop the wolfline or walk depending on where your class is.
6/10/2008 6:11:52 PM
Theres FREE UNTICKETED parking right next to the deck.also in the park

I think the patch gets it. Besides, those spaces seem pretty packed to me everytime I'm over on main campus in the mornings.
