I have for sale here an NVIDIA Quadro 3500. This is a mid-high end CAD/Design card. They cost so much new ($1500) because they use the best memory, etc, to be super reliable. This particular card overclocks from a stock core/memory speed of 450/660mhz to 600/830mhz. Its been running that way for almost a year now, never hiccup. I don't play too many games, but when i do, it kicks butt.

Another cool trick is that w/ RivaTuner you can emulate the card's gaming "brother", the Geforce 7950GT and install those drivers which tend to run games better than the Quadra CAD/Design drivers.

These are going for $250 and up on ebay. I figured i'd give it a shot here before i go that route.

^probably not on CAD. I have no idea how it works, but the old-school FireGL2 in my laptop beats the crap out of a 7xxx series card.

The Quaddro/FireGL cards do CAD like it's going out of style. Sucks terribly for games, but can model till the cows come home.

No, you can't. Software Quadro ended with the Geforce 3/4 series.

People have modded them into FX4600's, but I think they were only used for 3DS Max where D3D was applicable.

^^They may have HARDWARE modded them, but they sure as shit didn't use RivaTuner to softmod them. nVidia closed the loophole after the 6800 series. So read my post again, and quit threadshitting.

Even with a softmod, it's NOT the same card.
