http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=3429729so id this going to be like every other boxer retiring, only to come back asking for more $$? Though, I am glad the rematch with De La Hoya won't happen since the first fight wasn't that close.

I doubt this lasts long...and I really hope it doesn't. Floyd is an incredible talent and it sucks to see him bow out this early. It's not like he needs the money though, so he could be sincere.

whoa, this was a suprise, but knowing floyd, or what i hear, he is doing this with a masterplan to make even more moneythat guy is all about money and theres no way in heck he walks away with millions left on the table

I have heard rumors he wants to do MMA so maybe this is his way of getting the ball rolling on that. He originally said in the lead up to the De La Hoya fight that he was going to retire after that fight, which obviously didn't happen. This won't be the last time you hear from this money grubbing man.

^I thought I heard something along those lines with Mark Cuban's network too...but I thought that idea got nixed or something.
