It was stopped because he took like 4 blows to the face without trying to block any of them and was stumbling like he was going to fall over if a slight breeze hit him.

well I mean that seems pretty common and he still seemed coherent, I would guess they either stopped the fight cause his ear was falling off or cause it was rigged
