I liked him alot, I had him a few summers ago. It was Biochem in 5 weeks so it was intense to say the least. Alot of the class hated him but I thought he was a nice enough guy. He didnt go much in depth because of the time limitations but his final was really easy.

Shoot yourself in the head now, he is a prick.I had never disliked a prof at State until I took that class. I had him for the Biochem lab as well (he use to teach most sections so no choice.)That being said, his tests aren't ridiculous and his guidebook thingy isn't that bad. He sits in on the problem session and interrupts his TA's non-stop, I felt bad for them.

I was one of those TAs last semester, so if you have any questions, just ask.

Does he use Knopp's Notebook?

Nah, he doesn't use Knopp's Notes. He instead uses the Biochemical Bottom Lines, written by both himself and Dr. Knopp, as a supplement to Horton's textbook. He uses the Bottom Lines as the basis for his lectures, so it's a good thing to have.

i liked him. and the class. and i usually hate anything with the word chemistry in it. some people in my class didnt like him and complained alot, but i think that's because they didnt think that biochem in 5 weeks would be intense as far as the TA thing goes, thank god he interuppted mine because she had no clue what she was talking about an if he hadnt been there we would have been lost.

i loved Dr. Hardin...to the point, not so full of himself that he can't answer a question.... in terms of being a prick, well.. he has one...but your semester will be much more palatable with him vs Dr. Knopp.
