i need to get intarweb service at my new house, and currently we have the standard roadrunner for $29.99/month at the apartment...we called an agent with time warner and brow beat him into that price a year ago...can they do that at any time, or only if there's an authorized promotion?

when you get cable internet, you have access to cable, and the only thing stopping you is a physical blocker they put onto the cable somewhere that it is entering your house... all you have to do is find that blocker and take it off and voila! free basic cable

and, since time warner uses contractors most of the time, if they find it, all you have to do is play dumb...hell, the contractor that did our apartment showed us how to hook up cable television if they ever came to fix it (actually, BOTH contractors showed us...one was a college kid working part time who asked if we had any weed, and the other was some 40-something who said that TWC was evil and ripping us off and he'd show us how to get back at them)

how do i convince my parents that AOL is a piece of shit and to switch to RR? every time i come home for the summer, i have no interwebs on my computer (AOL also doesn't allow multiple computers), no sexbox live, and no wireless intrawebs. and yet the insist on paying a ridiculous price for it. i called AOL and the guy told me to switch to RR.

lol...i showed them the price difference. they're afraid some insane virus is gonna attack the computer on RR since AOL has all the fancy virus stuff. which btw slows everything down because it runs EVERY FUCKIN TIME you start AOL.
