I wouldn't want to go in the middle of a wartime situation but I do think it would be nice to visit the birthplace of one of the original human civilizations like this.

wanna know what its like? surround yourself with a bunch of dirt, pour some shit around it, and start burning something. that's pretty much it. lots of dirt/sand; everything smells like shit; and there's always something burning.

but then again, I'm very tired of that place and glad to not ever be going back.

Me too. I got a call from Triple Canopy. 244K to go back. If my kids weren't so young, and if I wasn't so damn broke off, I would be there. But alas, I'm a fucking broke dick with nothing to show but a pension at 30 and a bunch of fucking issues. Yeah, it's great. Get used to smelling burned people, they're everywhere.

yeah it seems like every month I get some contract company offerin me a shitload of $ to go back, but fuck that noise. I've had enough of the middle east and surrounding areas to last me a lifetime.
