The store paid a $2,595 fine in December. • Staples at 11825 Retail Drive in Wake Forest, which paid $3,115 after failing a third inspection with an error rate of 8.33 percent. The store had already paid a $1,500 penalty for the first two failed inspections. • Kmart at 6200 Capital Blvd. in Raleigh, which paid $4,155 after inspectors found an error rate of 12 percent in that store’s fifth inspection. The store had already been assessed $7,935 in fines for the previously failed inspections. The money collected by the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ Standards division goes to the state’s school systems. "

the one here in hickory happened because some like a land fill wasn't done properly and when everything decomposed and the pipe running through it leaked it caused the ground to sink in on it'self
