3 AM question...

Say I come up with an idea for something, and I blog about it (such that anyone could have read it, but I can still prove that it's my idea because I came up with it first).

Can this idea still be legally patented?

if you dont apply for the patent before someone steels the idea and applies for the patent...

from what i remember a long time ago, if you can show time stamps, or proof that you came up with the idea before them, or something like that. then you may be ok.
