Does anyone have or done an internship with the U.S. Census Bureau? They set up a phone interview with me for Thursday and I really know nothing about it. The application we submitted for the internship was very basic and more just so they could contact us about any openings they had. Ive looked online (yes, used google) about it, but found nothing useful.

I hear you have to count a lot.

Would help if you told us a little about your major (they have a buttload of jobs). General advice would be to tailor your answers to the job that connects with your major (stats, social sciences, business/econ).

Feds don't offer to fly you or pay for your hotel room.I think its BS and I won't work for them.

If you're talking about D.C., I don't see why it wouldn't be worth the drive for the possible opportunity.

i seriously tried for like 15 different sas internships that i actually qualified for. heard back from 2 with interviews and that was really the end of it.

They'll probably reimburse you for the driving costs of for the interview, which is still more of a pain in the ass than a simple flight but it's better than nothing.

they said they would be in contact with me to set up the interview and this was on thursday so i should hear something early this week
