My job blocks "www.thewolfweb.com" but does NOT block "www.brentroad.com"

it shows banner ads, but at least you'd be able to access it: http://anchorfree.com/downloads/hotspot-shield/(assuming they don't block vpn connections)

^^believe me there are far more reasons to quit at this place, and as soon as I can get an offer for a position I like where I like I'm so gone.

block gmail but not tww... ggI mean honestly, as long as the work and tasks at hand get done, employers shouldn't really care what websites they frequent as long as it's nothing like porn or shit. Our company blocked ebay because one of the managers caught a co-worker ebaying while on the job, but really wasn't cutting into their work ethics. Then engineers started to yell at the managers because they frequent ebay for spare parts and such for work purposes. Then they unblocked ebay.[Edited on May 8, 2008 at 9:42 PM. Reason : ]

Companies don't just prevent employees from visiting certain sites to increase production. They also do it to protect themselves from viruses, malware. etc. I know that we are not allowed to check any outside email accounts because someone a few years ago opened an attachment that shut down a good deal of the company for a day.
