Indiana is in our timezone.
5/6/2008 10:53:31 PM
the only part that isnt is like lake co in the northwestern part near chicago[Edited on May 6, 2008 at 10:54 PM. Reason : cnn earlier said its like the only state like that along with florida]

5/6/2008 11:07:22 PM
^^ Indiana doesn't celebrate daylight savings time. Now is Daylight Savings Time. Therefore, Indiana is in Central.[Edited on May 6, 2008 at 11:08 PM. Reason : ]

there is all kinds of stupid in this thread
5/6/2008 11:26:40 PM
rough math of 10 percent of 1.1 million votes = 110k votes...obama will prolly win at least 60-65% of that vote or around 70k to clintons 40k for a net of 30k...he is behind by 40k currently so he still loses by 10k rough math
5/6/2008 11:28:39 PM
5/6/2008 11:41:20 PM
28% in ...obama nets 20k votes or so[Edited on May 6, 2008 at 11:46 PM. Reason : only 20k to go...72 percent of lake county to come in...][Edited on May 6, 2008 at 11:47 PM. Reason : come on obama!!!!! 20k to go!!!]
5/6/2008 11:45:44 PM
arent gary indiana and chicago in the same time zone.... not that it matters
5/6/2008 11:49:45 PM
yupidk if he is gonna keep up the numbers, but with only 28% in and obama netting almost 20k, hes got a great chance to win this shit
5/6/2008 11:50:45 PM
most of indiana is in EST. I work with several people in indiana and they are always "leaving at 4"
5/6/2008 11:52:03 PM
timezone has nothing to do with itbig city politics = slow when they want to beChicago is home of the phrase "vote early, vote often", and its not the windy city because of the lake breeze That being said, I hope Obama squeaks out with the win
5/6/2008 11:54:33 PM
are you suggesting that chicago is somehow causing Lake county Indiana to return their results slow?
5/6/2008 11:55:22 PM
theres no doubt that lots of people in hammond and gary work in chicago, IL. which would put lots of people in the lake county polling places after work. and the polling places close at 6.so you're looking at the potential of tons of suburbanites coming into polls at like 5:15 that close at (im pretty sure) 6pmand they gotta let them all vote i thinkso that explains it to me.i think the media is causing stupid drama...think about it.they only have an hour (nothing about time zone at all)]
5/7/2008 12:04:39 AM
come on hillary!
5/7/2008 12:07:30 AM
but this mayor of hammond on CNN right now is definitely shady. he's saying he knows for sure that hillary won in like 12 different cities.even though 1/4 of the votes just came in from that county and obama had 75% of them.its almost like they're playing games on 2 fronts. and one of them is to detract on how bad clinton lost in NC after that stupid ad
5/7/2008 12:08:00 AM
i'd vote for clinton if muslims respected women
5/7/2008 12:08:36 AM
id never vote for hillary. she's an evil cuntand she didnt even dump her husband for cheating on her. and i actually thought bill was a decent president, hell i voted for him oncethen again i voted for bush once too haha]
5/7/2008 12:10:40 AM
come on Obama, only 2% now!
5/7/2008 12:16:26 AM
its the only reason i'm up now. im interested in that county with indiana U in it. but i hate that lying ass mayor. no way obama is up 20k votes in that county if hillary won 12 cities there
5/7/2008 12:18:18 AM
^ & ^^, big if's therethe only county left to report is the -rural- Union county. and he'll have to take 5% to hillarys 3% to even tie the statethat'll be tough, but possible
5/7/2008 12:20:18 AM
Nah, only 28% of Gary reportedObama has it Obama has Indiana
5/7/2008 12:23:27 AM
im not counting on barak winning indiana, but im caught up in the moment.plus to see that it ended up being this close, that really hurts hillary. i hate that they have this biased ass mayor on. he says he "knows" the numbers, even goes as far to say that obama won by 600 votes in X town. and that he did "decent" in gary. im gonna assume the 28% reporting so far is gary... so if 75/25 is "decent" then i'm interested to see what he calls "close"why cant he offer any real numbers? he obviously knows them... unless, of course, they're just bullshittingthis reminds me of election 2000 when i stayed up like all night for no reason
5/7/2008 12:23:51 AM
ps terpball how do you feel about what they're saying on CNN over and overabout how "barak should dominate gary because its predominately black"arent they over that yet? hahaha ive been stereotyping it the opposite actually - that women vote barack, and black people like clinton more.
5/7/2008 12:25:25 AM
I'd be so funny if he won Indiana after all this.
5/7/2008 12:27:03 AM
AND DID YOU GET A NEW #, i TRIED TO CALL YOU DUDE
5/7/2008 12:27:43 AM
Gary, Indiana is the blackest city in America. Also, someone should make a porno named Gary In Diana.
5/7/2008 12:31:54 AM
Why would someone as a candidate make a victory speech b4 your campaign knows 100% certain that you won a state...b/c if Obama ends up taking Indiana..she is going to end up looking like a foolish cunt!!
5/7/2008 12:33:41 AM
speaking of time zones, and a new topic.it takes forever to drive through central on 40. all the way from eastern TN thru arkansas to oklahoma to the texas panhandle, and finally into new mexico but once you hit new mexico and get to mountain, you can haul ass through NM, and in the spring and summer, AZ is on west coast time (the only part of AZ that does time changes is the navajo nation).so you're only in mountain time for one state you can gain lots of time on that part of the drive!
5/7/2008 12:34:11 AM
17k clinton lead now...56% in...not a lot of movement only like 2k
5/7/2008 12:35:50 AM
5/7/2008 12:38:01 AM
91% of black voters in NC voted for Obama.
5/7/2008 12:39:19 AM

5/7/2008 12:39:54 AM
Yep and even some of us who are 50% African American voted for Obama..and will be doing it again come November!!
5/7/2008 12:41:35 AM
so barak had 889,905 votes in NCso that means 977,918 black people voted in NC today? or are you saying 91% of black dems voted for barakhelp me out with these numbers:what percent voted democrat? (at least 91%)what percent voted republican?these are serious questions im trying to figure out, not being an ass plz helpi found this much for numbers if this helps:Registered Voters: 5,811,778Ballots Cast: 2,105,169Voter Turnout: 36.22 %]
5/7/2008 12:42:57 AM
ok rough math...33k votes or so to be added up...obama needs 17k margin so thats like 25k for him, 8 for her...thats like 75% of remaining needs to go to obama...dont think hes gonna pull it out imo...maybe does in absentee ballots but idk
5/7/2008 12:43:49 AM
I'm saying that 91% of all black people who voted today chose Obama.per CNN:
5/7/2008 12:44:56 AM
Ballots Cast in NC: 2,105,169Ballots Cast for Democrat President: 1,583,648so it sounds like i should find somewhere that 521,521 republicans were cast
5/7/2008 12:46:27 AM
5/7/2008 12:48:05 AM
The 521,521 aren't just Republican voters, it's everyone who didn't choose a Democratic candidate for president.I have no idea what you are trying to say
5/7/2008 12:48:52 AM
got this info from my local tv news:888,979 barak655,482 hillary 35,048 other----------------------------1,579,509 total democrat 514,134 total republican----------------------------2,093,643 total president tickets cast2,105,169 people voted according to board of elections----------------------------11,526 people didnt vote for president (or missing precints)so this quote:
5/7/2008 1:11:01 AM
Yes, 91% of Democrats and unaffiliated voters: the only people who can vote in NC's Democratic primary.
