How likely can someone drop classes or withdrawal from a semester due to relationship problems (no deaths or suicidal behavior involved)? Does anyone have any experience with this? I would appreciate if anyone is willing to share. Also, does anyone have any personal recommendations or references for a particular counselor? Thanks.

you can't drop at this point; you might be able to withdraw after the fact[Edited on May 6, 2008 at 2:02 PM. Reason : &]

1) first call & schedule an appt at the counseling center, when they ask why you want to come in, tell them b/c you want to w/draw from this semester2) during your appt, tell them the problems you had, feeling free to embellish and take creative liberty where needed, and tell them exactly how those relationship problems affected you to the point that they caused a drop in your academic performance and abilities (having a letter from a parent verifying this info is accurate and vital to your daily activities will definitely seal the deal)3) do necessary paperwork to complete the process[Edited on May 6, 2008 at 3:31 PM. Reason : ^can't drop, but the sooner you start the w/drawal process the better]
