Anyone know where I can get these locally? I know I can get them online, but I'd rather deal locally, and I don't need thousands of them.

I know that advanced auto parts has them if you go in the store to where the oil is, they are free for the taking just grab a few next time you're in there.
5/5/2008 7:43:56 AM
^thanks
5/5/2008 7:53:53 AM
what are you using these for, if something other than the obvious
5/5/2008 10:00:40 AM
just the obvious. i'm changing my own oil now, and so I'd like to have these, because there's no way I'll remember the mileage.
5/5/2008 10:04:04 AM
yeah, most all of the parts stores have them for free. they'll come in the box with some filters also.

i put one on my car the first oil change i did..usually by the time i change the oil the sharpie fades out a bit and i just write over it..
5/5/2008 10:21:09 AM
Masking tape or blank labels from staples work fine? This isnt rocket science.
5/5/2008 6:38:20 PM
wait, we have to change the oil in our cars?
5/5/2008 6:39:14 PM
^nah, WE don't... just other people.
5/5/2008 6:41:42 PM
I also use a sharpie. Sure it fades, but by the time it fades, it is usually time to change it again anyway.

how hard it it to remember 3,000 mile intervals?
5/5/2008 11:44:52 PM
how hard it it really Quinn?
5/5/2008 11:57:31 PM
it's easy to remember a 3000 mile interval. it's difficult for me to remember when that interval began, thus when it ends as well^^^what he said
5/6/2008 5:46:19 AM
3000...nah. I change mine every 7500. Never had an internal engine problem after 3 cars 288,000, 278,000, 218,000 miles each. I just let my car tell me when it's been 7500.So what exactly are you looking for in your oil change sticker? I never thought anyone would care about the design unless it was pink or something.http://www.moneybluebook.com/articles/consumerreports.oilchange.php[Edited on May 6, 2008 at 6:06 AM. my one car that doesn't have a OLM i use 5k mile intervals so its easy to remember.[Edited on May 6, 2008 at 6:40 AM. Reason : i did it 1, 5, 15, 20 ................]
