Looks like it's based on / inspired by / related to the Google TechTalk on captchas, among other things. Basically, since computers aren't very good at some things (analyzing photographs, for one), you just use computers to trick large numbers of people into doing the work for them by calling it a game and giving them points.

Every time I get on there I get some dumbass who won't type the most obvious thing about the picture. It will be a picture of a fish and the person will want to pass.
