I went to the gym yesterday and was doing the lat pulldown at a weight that I guess was too much. Now, the insides of my elbows on both arms hurt very badly when I try to straighten my arms. I think I may have pulled a muscle or torn a tendon or something, looked on google and it might be called Medial Epicondylitis but i;'m not sure if this is what it's called. I've been sore after working out before, and it hurts way too much to be just typical sores. I have to keep my arms bent at all times or else it hurts like a bitch. what should i do dr. tww, besides posting about it on internet forumz?

There are several muscles that attach to the medial epicondyle (forearm flexors). I would go see a doctor before working out again, even if it starts to feel better - you never know if you're doing irreparable damage. It's probably just a strain (tendon), if it's a sprain or torn ligament you might be able to feel some abnormal fluidity of the joint.[Edited on April 28, 2008 at 6:29 PM. Reason : .]

You strained your ulnar collateral ligaments. You didn't tear them or your arms would be black and blue from the swelling / internal bleeding. Not much to do except wait it out. They'll get better.
