I have a reservation for an avis rental that I will pick up on Fri. The cost will be right around ~ $150. I don't imagine that I would use the balance remaining on the cards anytime soon, so the difference of $50 would be effectively useless to me. Of course, it also wouldn't be of much use for me to increase my offer.

If you can hold out indefinitely for more money, then of course you should. If you need some cash, I'll let my offer stand until Thursday. Either way, I hope it works out for you.
