I hiked Lookout Trail in Black Mountain/Montreat last weekend...it's a good little hike. Some of the trails were closed though.

linville falls is a pretty nice. and there are plenty of other nifty trails off the side of the blue ridge parkway

i always like hiking the trail to hanging rock...it's pretty low-key, though

tons of trails up by The Pisgah Inn and Mt. Mitchell Check out Looking Glass, Devils Courthouse and def. go see the water falls at Graveyard Fields

^^The long trail at hanging rock is a good one. As mentioned before, Linville Falls is nice.You could just pick any part of the AT.If you like waterfalls, go to Brevard[Edited on April 25, 2008 at 2:29 PM. Reason : ]

steels creek, harpers creek, upper and lower wilsons creek, many places along the parkway, linville falls, south mountain, stone mountain....

Any of the trails along the South Fork River are really nice and scenic. If you can find it theres a campsite at a lagoon where the river slows down that has a waterfall on the opposite side, awesome place to camp.
