assuming eastern style, there's nowhere great, but I tend to side with Ole Time

Cooper's sandwich special used to be dope: a bbq sandwich, fries, pork skins, and tea for $3.75...but a couple months ago they switched from the awesome crispy seasoned fries to bland, cheap fries and it's like $5.50

best skins ever

I'd like to think they're homemade, but I've been a little disillusioned ever since I saw the woman who always works the counter scooping potato salad out of a tub

Inside the Raleigh city limits -Cooper's
In the area - Stephenson's near McGee's Crossroads and McCall's in Clayton (just reopened yay!)
Allen and Son in Chapel Hill (the best in my opinion)

McCalls in Goldsboro or clayton, and Parkers in wilson. These are some of the best barbeque places to eat. Nothing around NCSU is as good as these

Speaking of which, since I'm not a fan of Eastern Style BBQ, is there any place that simply has delicious BBQ without the sauce..? So I can just put whatever the hell sauce I want on it? I totally dig the RBC Center because the meat in itself is just awesome. Any other place have good meat?

^^^^^ I was so sad when I heard that closed. It was the only reason to go to the wasteland of Capital.

I've eaten at Danny's and I only thought the meat was okay. They did have some bangin' sauce though.
