will this be a "Grown and Sexy" party that black people always like to throw?
4/24/2008 12:03:31 PM
No!! Lots of white people involved If you knew me you'd know that I don't really hang with the "black" crowd lol.
4/24/2008 12:05:18 PM
4/24/2008 12:06:05 PM
i'm not a racist, but i'm uncomfortable at "black" get-togethers
4/24/2008 12:06:19 PM
BLAH to you all!!!It's not a black get together ughMaybe I should ask for this to go to the lounge
4/24/2008 12:06:56 PM
4/24/2008 12:07:39 PM
^That did make me giggle a little. A lady at work keeps telling me about all these parties, but I never go. Maybe I should break out my linen and hit it up!Ok back to topic! Come hang out next Friday!!![Edited on April 24, 2008 at 12:12 PM. Reason : I'll get it moved ]
4/24/2008 12:09:53 PM
you should have probably posted this in soap box
4/24/2008 12:12:01 PM
Yay Thanks for moving this gunzzie!Ok now for serious posts!!! COME TO THE EVENT
4/24/2008 12:19:20 PM
What if you spent some of that money on helping the disadvantaged people your party is supposedly so concerned with? For $250, I could feed quite a few homeless folks and still have money left over to tattoo the word "hippocrite" on a democrat's forehead.
4/24/2008 12:33:59 PM
How about you go and do that instead of whining in my thread? Thanks for stopping by!
4/24/2008 12:34:47 PM
Let me rephrase my question. How do you justify spending tons of money to hear a speech about how poor and disadvantaged most Americans are? You, like many others, obviously have reasons for supporting the event. I would like to understand why.
4/24/2008 12:45:13 PM
I'm not trying to justify anything. It's purely informational, so either come to the event or don't! It's that simple!I would hope you choose to not show up.
4/24/2008 12:49:49 PM
campaigns run on moneyits not really that difficult to comprehend
4/24/2008 12:50:10 PM
Don't worry, I won't be there. I would just like to understand why people care so much about politics that they spend tons of their own money to help wealthy politicians achieve their own selfish ambitions. I don't think I'm asking an unreasonable question.
4/24/2008 1:01:06 PM
How about you make a thread and pose that question. This one isn't for that. Thanks for playing
4/24/2008 2:39:18 PM
thats the great thing about americathe whole first amendment thing
4/24/2008 2:41:51 PM
4/24/2008 4:42:41 PM
Fuschia, I wanted an opinion on it from someone who is advocating that people support a political party. I don't care what political scientists have to say. I want to hear from an average person who feels strongly about supporting a party. If you won't attempt to answer me, then please don't reply. This is not chit chat.
4/24/2008 4:55:09 PM
Similarly, if you don't have something RELEVANT to say in a Lounge thread, don't post in it.You knew this thread was in support of something you weren't, and you still decided to troll it.[Edited on April 24, 2008 at 5:36 PM. Reason : You could've just PMed the OP if you wanted an answer from her.]
4/24/2008 5:29:39 PM

5/2/2008 4:52:02 PM
I wanted to come to this reception, but I was working the Obama rally/Arcade Fire & Superchunk concert for Jim Neal. (since Neal endorsed Obama, we had a lot of support there too). Alot of people campaigning for different positions and several local candidates were there too. It's too bad these two big democratic events in NC weren't spread out just a little more so people could do both.[Edited on May 2, 2008 at 6:28 PM. Reason : .]
5/2/2008 6:27:42 PM

5/2/2008 6:50:35 PM
that's small potatoes for some of these things
5/2/2008 7:07:56 PM
Dear "Democrats".... you're probably closer to libertarian ... check out out...
5/2/2008 7:27:29 PM
hahahahahahahaif you are a democrat and can afford 250 for a night of foodyou probably should reconsider your political affiliation.
