I disagree here. First of all McCain can't make the decisions for the NCGOP (which the NCGOP has denied his request to take the ad down). All the ad is is the same youtube videos that's been all over the MSM. Even still, it's a legitimate topic for discussion as we choose the democratic nominee.I think McCain fears the GOP will be viewed as race baiting.

Hi Everyone!Bev Perdue here...just standing very closely to some of my many Black friends. You know those mean republicans are running an ad that makes it look like I hate America. Poppycock. I love America. And I support Barack because of change, and hope and audacity!I'd also like to point out that Andy Griffith just endorsed me. Everyone loves Andy Griffith. Barney cracks me up.Now I don't know about Richard Moore. He just might be an America-hating, racist son-of-a-bitch...time will tell. But you can be assured that a vote for Bev Perdue is a vote to continue the great job we democrats have been doing running the great state of Noth Carolina. My friends here agree that Bev Perdue keeps it real!

Well he may reap the benefits, but due to Barack Obama. He's the one with the 20-year relationship with an unabashed biggot.
4/24/2008 10:37:24 AM
What is a 'biggot'? Is that like some type of gigantic hobbit? And who gives a shit about the GOP ads. It will only work on hicks, super Christians, and idiots. None of which are voting for Obama anyway. It won't matter and it's more Jessie Helms bullshit we've seen before. Luckily much of the state has progressed from this crap. There's nothing more to talk about with the Wright thing. It is what it is and we've all heard Obama's stance on this countless amount of times. He had the stones to actually come out and face it head on which 98% of other politicians wouldn't do. People already know by now unless they were hibernating underground. So this ad isn't worth shit.
4/24/2008 10:43:13 AM
Of course, this all matters a great deal because the NCGOP has historically been a very well organized and significant part of the political process.
4/24/2008 10:51:43 AM
hes not a biggot to me
4/24/2008 10:59:09 AM
4/24/2008 11:13:12 AM
the sooner you accept that Kainen is just an angry nerd the sooner you can begin to ignore his posts
4/24/2008 11:17:48 AM
Oeuvre, you misspelled 'bigot', thats why he asked what you meant...clearly the most important part of your post...I mean it only makes sense to blow your misspelling out of proportion while not having to address the fact that Wright IS a huge bigot
4/24/2008 11:27:49 AM
Bob Orr has also said the ad should not be run. This ad can only backlash on the NC GOP. You must remember, this isn't an anti-Obama ad, but a thin attempt to link Richard Moore and Bev Perdue to Rev. Wright.
4/24/2008 11:59:47 AM
Oy! The angry nerd label.compelling
4/24/2008 12:41:37 PM
4/25/2008 7:13:42 PM
4/25/2008 7:15:10 PM
really. it's a great strategy to win votes by calling voters "idiots and hicks"
4/25/2008 7:18:02 PM
Really. I'm campaigning on the Wolf Web for democratic votes.
4/25/2008 7:18:45 PM
the point still stands.
4/25/2008 7:19:33 PM
Yes I'm campaigning on the wolf web for votes for the democratic party.your point stands.lol
4/25/2008 7:22:03 PM
dude, you are a fucking idiot. Your view FUCKING REPRESENTS why democrats can't get elected. They call the voting populace that won't vote for them IDIOTS. i don't give a fuck that you are saying it here on TWW. It's being said EVERYWHERE, dipshit. now get your arrogant head out of your ass and stop enjoying the smell of your own farts, fucktard
4/25/2008 7:24:42 PM
Because my posts on the wolf web directly impact national campaigns
4/25/2008 7:25:33 PM
i think it's funny that this ad is trying to pull guilt by association by association.
4/25/2008 7:27:24 PM
I wonder which angry nerd was responsible for this?
4/25/2008 7:37:08 PM
sounds like typical liberal tolerance to me
4/25/2008 8:01:42 PM
4/25/2008 8:24:18 PM
what, the liberal punching someone with whom he doesn't agree?
4/25/2008 8:30:59 PM
Perhaps Bill Moyers can invite Mr. Talis on his show to explain his actions in a much calmer voice.

^Democrats, by and large, believe that they are smarter than Republicans. It's a view that I hear repeated by many, many liberals. Especially on issues that are near and dear to the democratic party, if you aren't with them then you're "an idiot". The reverse is rarely true when it comes to Republicans. Sure, you'll find an AlexAsInCato here and there with a narcissistic view of the world in general and liberals in particular, but for the most part elitism and perceived intellectual superiority is exclusive to the dems.Hell, we've had several threads on the matter here in the soapbox. Usually the justification for this snobby attitude is that "it's not elitist if it's true".[Edited on April 26, 2008 at 2:08 AM. Reason : 2]

mathman claps resoundingly for the NCGOP standing its ground. This just shows what we already knew. McCain is no conservative when it gets the slightest bit uncomfortable.
4/26/2008 8:41:29 AM
The NCDEMS should respond with an ad full of crap that Hagee (a big, literally and figuratively, supporter of McCane) has spewed from the pulpit.
4/26/2008 11:29:19 AM
I love how aaronburro claims democrats cannot get elected. Maybe he should look at the make up of this state's government.
4/26/2008 1:32:49 PM
It's encouraging to see some conservative elements out there, even while McCain is conducting an 8-month surrender.
4/26/2008 4:46:05 PM
4/26/2008 6:00:27 PM
i like how the dems have only been able to get 2 terms in the white house since carter boy leftand the only schmuck they got in there is that hillary bitches husband.mccain is smart to say 'take it down' b/c if there is any media backlash at mccain, he can just say 'hey look guis, i said take it down. now ngr plz' basically.
4/26/2008 6:05:39 PM
The guy on the Right for NC People and Politics on WPTF soundly condemned this ad today. It makes it seem like there's not much good to say about the GOP candidates if their first big ad out is simply one that makes no mention of GOP platform whatsoever. Do they have that little confidence in their candidates for Gov.? I found this article from today's N&O from Rod Christensen pretty telling. This is the state GOP of Jesse Helms, you know...
4/27/2008 9:44:11 PM
And the Obama campaign responded to John McCain's rejections of the Wright ad...by saying he that McCain is unfit to lead [a clean campaign]. Real classy Obama. http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/04/24/mccain-camp-under-false-impression-that-nc-gop-obama-ad-was-killed/If Obama doesn't want a clean campaign (and he doesn't, because he is the master of being able to shit on everyone without getting his own clothes dirty), then I say let all hell break loose. Obama may think his shit don't stink now, but we'll see how he well he fares when he isn't preaching to the choir come November.[Edited on April 28, 2008 at 2:35 PM. this thread is moronic. This aint heat these fools are dishing, it's fear. That ad won't amount to a hill of beans. And Socks personal vendetta because his little miss clinton's teensy weensy nomination is slipping away is really really entertaining EVERY TIME!
4/28/2008 2:42:12 PM
speculating about my inner life doesn't change the fact that your candidate sucks and that McCain will sweep in November. The Obama media buzz is already wearing off.
4/28/2008 3:02:36 PM
^ If McCain wins, you'll be eating those words in 4 years. McCain is too much of a pandering, spineless, hack to be at best anything but a lameduck.Obama is more intelligent and more of-the-people, and would be a MUCH better president.
4/28/2008 3:31:31 PM
Hahahaha, McCain as pandering? To whom? That's the one thing he's known NOT to do... unless you mean pander as in support for everything you disagree with. Which, if that's the case, you should probably find a new word. Look at his record on earmarks alone. Then compare it to Hilama. Who panders?[Edited on April 28, 2008 at 3:35 PM. Reason : q.]
4/28/2008 3:34:36 PM
mccain should'nt give a shit about what the left party, and go about working out the kinks for the general election.let the left fall apart by itself. i just love watching obama/hillary preach unity in america while they are deeply dividing their party.the only reason hillary is losing is b/c she is answering questions with real nitty gritty answers. obama is just punting and dodging. it'll catch up soon.

the fact that he engaged in war against the enemies of america means nothing in todays generationwe've had no adversity
4/28/2008 3:47:41 PM
^ And who's responsible for us facing no adversity since the Iraq and Afghanistan exercises started pray tell? Who told the country that they didn't need to change, sacrifice, or do anything differently with our lives to ensure success?Honestly, our politicians and government have pushed the notion on its citizens so hard that the wars of this country can be won by pushing a button and that the people don't have to sacrifice a thing for victory. What other consequence do you expect from such a point of view that is so widespread among both liberals and conservatives?"The Iraq War is going on and our country is in trouble, how can we help?""You don't need to help. Just go watch some football."[Edited on April 28, 2008 at 4:01 PM. Reason : /]
