my gf applied for a job with addi inc. and we were trying to do some research on them and it's non-existant. apparently they are off of glenwood avenue in a small business suite, but does anyone have any experience with them? they seem off to me because they post 20 jobs at a time and are pretty much invisible on the WWW.

addi inc and zms marketing operate out of the same suite. i don't think it's worth going for an interview because it seems sketchy. anyone have knowledge of them?

Plenty of legitimate businesses have secretive offices. For example, a friend of mine was interviewing for a hospital job. The interview location was an unmarked suite in an ambiguous office building. They just don't want every person looking for a job to be able to stop by and bug them.

Peak Fitness also keeps their corporate offices secret. I tried looking for them to give them a piece of my mind once, but I quickly gave up.

I'm not saying Addi Inc is legit. The whole secretive aspect sounds sketch. But it may not be as bad as you think.

Addi & Associates, Inc. is registered to Brandon Scragg and was formed 1/08.

They share a suite as you mentioned and also share a Principal Mailing Address:

Thanks for the warning!!! I had an interview for this place this afternoon. I tried to google Addi b4 I went in and the only thing I found besides the job listings was this blog. Instincts told me this place was fishy because I had experienced places like this before, such as Bullet Marketing Group and Archangel Marketing and I definitely didnt want to fall into the trap again. A friend of a friend was really excited about coming up from wilmington for two seperate interviews. From what my buddy said it was all sales, few if any benefits and certainly not what was advertised.

I saw an add for a group called St. Croix Concepts which seemed like the same idea. Can anyone verify?

Fair warning - a lot these "new marketing company!!!!! hiring with no experience necessary!!!!" are the type of companies that will drop you off in Johnston County and have you flyer door-to-door for a pizza company.... or do all of a contacted agency's cold-calling.

RUN FAR AWAY. Most of the legit marketing jobs are with reputable agencies that are established, have a website (with company-branded email addresses) that they will post in their job opening ads, and will be transparent in defining what it is they actually do and what you will be responsible for. They also usually expect experience of some sort.

It's a buzz industry right now and everyone is trying to make a quick buck... they won't be around for long. About a year ago there was a company called ArchAngel and another one that claimed to be all about sports marketing, too (forgot the name) and seriously.... stay away from those. OH WAIT - the other was Bullet Marketing Group (or something to that extent).

most places are worth checking out, but if you have to leave the interview site to see things "on campus" or anything like that...gtfo.

i ran into a friend last year who asked if i was still in engineering. i said yea, and he was like, well my friends dad is starting a new company(ADG inc or somthing) and are looking for engineers and will be payed 500-1000 a week, i can set an interview up for you. of course im like hell yes. then i get there and he hands me a quixstar brochure

Ok, last post in this thread before I say "STAY AWAY." My roommate had two interviews with them and they wanted him to sell leftover tickets to sporting events, so that they can fill out the stands. They were games in the middle or beginning of the week. And he had to sell them in bulk.
Cold calling, door to door, whatever he needed to do to unload the tickets. No base pay, shitty commission, no benefits whatsoever. This might be appropriate if you were some out of high school kid with no bills and nothing to lose. But if you had any form of higher education, you could find a much better job opportunity.
