you are a junior and you are just now taking calc 2 and 3?

I changed majors from being a history major to computer engineering...I started working full time and thus....set myself back down a few years.

im goin to summer school

i took 2 or 3 classes each summer session. best thing i ever did... made my semesters a lot less heavyand FYI, one session i took calc 2 and the next i took calc 3. it wasn't that bad.

Gawd I hated Maple. >_<

I would do it at Wake Tech.

I loved summer classes if i could do it all over i would have taken way more summer school

Do the 12 week one. Cramming so much coursework into 4 weeks sucks since you have a test like every week and you won't retain the material as well.

i'm an ISE major and i suck at calc during the school year but when i take it in summer sessions i'm a genius!!! less time to screw it up and less time to burn out! i have calc 3 st 271 & 2 and ise 311 over the summer in both sessions. it makes it east to work full time too because classes start and end early. get them over with take early classes and you can get to the office by 10am!

Went ahead and registered at Wake Tech.

I always do better in classes I take over the summer due to less extra-curricular crap going on. I usually take just one class per session and it works out. I like the fast pace of it too, less boring.

i took calc 2 over the summer here and thought it was really easy. *shrugs*. it's cheaper at wake tech. but i didnt have a car at the time so i had to deal with what was close.also, if math isnt a strong point of yours, if you take it at wake tech and you barely pass, it only transfers as credit so it wouldnt destroy your GPA.

plenty of engineers aren't really good at math. i prefer writing, actually.

I basically taught myself calc 1 and 2. I took them with shitty grad students during summer sessions. Easiest thing I found was just buying the solution manual and solve as many problems as I could until I was dreaming about integration Got an A- and a B in them

When do they post the textbooks for summer classes?

to be in engineering you ought to be well-rounded. most engineering students will only hold a job title as a sort of engineer for like 8 years, then they usually move up to management.so i believe communication skills are just as important as math ones, if not more so. Engineering is all about teamwork anyway, so someone who is more technical will end up doing more of the calculation work.

....unless you work for some small firm where you hate your life because you work overtime every week and you suffer from role overload.

i mean, you need to know it, sure. you dont have to be a wiz at it though is all i'm saying. thats why you take all that crap before you matriculate to weed out those that really shouldn't be in engineering at all.
