If you are married and would rather toss your gown instead of keep it as a keepsake or give it to to a family member in the future, we can definately make some memories together! I already have a thread out there about wedding photography, and I also do trash the dress photo sessions with those lucky ladies who forsee no need to keep their gowns for marrying again! We'll be wading in swamps, going on hikes, riding vehicles, and doing all sorts of fun hobbies, sports and adventures that you feel best fit your personality, all in the enthusiastic corruption of what once was perfect and beautiful! It can be a creative and fun way to artistically photograph your wild side, or to reflect a daring and bold move that we all take as we step into the future. For rates, you can visit http://sbottitta.foliosnap.com , and for availability, please click the Contact button on the top.

Not yet unfortunately, but I have one planned with a client where she will go hunting in her gown. It will occur in July sometime after we have had adequate rain for a good swamp detour.
4/19/2008 10:54:57 PM
i am definitely keeping this in mindit sounds so much more appealing than paying to have the gown perserved
4/19/2008 10:55:51 PM
Yay!
4/19/2008 10:57:17 PM
This is about as dumb as the photo at the wedding where the bride and groom purposely shove cake in each other's faces.
4/19/2008 11:31:04 PM
Are you serious? That's hilarious, I love the reaction of the guests who are close friends with the couple as well.
4/20/2008 8:36:47 AM
you could encourage passing along the dress to someone less fortunate... then when they're like, "ok well what am i supposed to wear?" just do a nude shoot. they'll love it.
4/20/2008 9:20:40 AM
^^Yes, I'm serious. We were at a friend's wedding the other weekend, and they did it. I heard my father remarking to my younger sister that if she did that at her wedding he would refuse to pay. I believe it.

My last bride was going to trash her dress. We were gonna go to the state fair and get photos of her eating all those fried foods and going on rides, etc. But she wussed out
4/20/2008 11:24:08 PM
This is an awesome idea. Btw, do they make black or red wedding dresses? Or other colors? White is so presumptuous.
4/21/2008 8:47:06 AM
Yeah, they make those colors for whores.
4/21/2008 12:12:02 PM
They do and it actually looks pretty cool. The bridesmaids usually are the ones who are black or red if there is gonna be a variation, but I have seen off-white, light-light pink, tan, and the most artsy was when this one girl had a white gown, but had a red sash, bordering and flowers.[Edited on April 22, 2008 at 4:20 PM. if you spend lots of money on your wedding dress, or have it designed especially for you, then certainly you should preserve it or donate it or save it for your daughter to wear one day.but if you spend a couple hundred bucks on a dress from David's Bridal, which was made cheaply and mass produced in some random warehouse in the Midwest, and there are a hundred thousand dresses out there that look exactly like yours - then guess what, the dress isn't that freaking special. i spent more money on a prom dress in high school than i did on my wedding dress!that being said, i can't wait to get down and dirty in that dress while a photographer captures every muddy second of it ps - annie said you're gonna be the assistant at my wedding - YAY! pps - i'd like to formally book you for a gown trashing photo shoot around the first week of june. let me know!!! [Edited on April 23, 2008 at 11:21 AM. Reason : goin' to the chapel...in 17 days!!! ]

because god forbid you let someone less fortunate than you use it.
4/23/2008 10:26:08 PM
If I didn't think kiteboarding in my dress would create a horrible force of suction and death I'd probably take you up on this.

june 14th we're gonna trash my dress bump for the nice picture lady
5/20/2008 10:46:52 AM
I'm so looking forward to it! It goes against everything I know as far as what Annie has trained me to do in handling dresses - wash your hands, brush your nails down, places to hold it if the bride requires assistance in getting dressed, etc. I can't believe I'm actually taking you in your beautiful gown to go strawberry picking and goat petting, it's gonna be hilarious.

you have any pics from one yet? I would never do that to my dress, but it'd be cool to see someone who could do that.
