i think it's a pretty good idea. it will balance the # of teams in each league and the Rockies are an expansion team. it's not like you could ever move the Dodgers or Giants to the AL

There would have to be other moves. You can't have an odd number of teams in a league, it ruins scheduling.

And even if you were going to have odd teams in each league, which I don't think is even possible from a schedule perspective, wouldn't it make more sense to send back the Brewers and maybe put K.C. in the AL West?

yeah, just a little adjusting here and there...make each division have 5 teams, as opposed to the NL Central with 6 and NL West 4

AL lineups at coors... they can have fun with that

I think they should move Pittsburgh to the AL Central, then I guess KC to the AL West because they're next closest. Just so there's not two teams from PA in the same league (Pitt and Philly). Or if the Marlins would really move to Vegas, wait and put them in the AL West, and absorb one of the NL Central teams into the NL East, probably Pittsburgh or Cincy. And then change the scheduling so that you play teams in your division 12 times each, play the rest of the teams in your league 9 times, and 6 times from one other league division.V yeah, Coors was 5th last year...its a pretty normal park now.http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stats/parkfactor?sort=HRFactor&season=2007[Edited on April 16, 2008 at 12:48 AM. ^^you guys do know that the humidifier used at coors has negated the altitude's effect right?
4/16/2008 12:35:50 AM
I'm guessing there's not really any source for this "rumor." The leagues are unbalanced (i.e. 16 teams and 14 teams) for scheduling purposes. Otherwise you'd have one team in each league with an off game every night.

^^ that is only part of it. It's still a VERY good hitters park because the gaps are so huge. Look at how much OF there is to cover. Plus, the humidor doesn't stop all altitude effects at all...

this is all pointless without a link

I doubt the Brewers move. The Cub/Brewer rivalry is getting way too popular and lucrative for Milwaukee. I don't see Bud Selig letting this happen.

Hopefully the Brewer's move for Prince Fielder's sake because he'll be too fat to do anything but DH in a few years
