JoeNumbers is a quality poster on this website. I'm going to start by saying I generally enjoy his posts and he strikes me as a decent dude.

As most of us are aware, joe is different yet very similar to us at the same time. While joe has lost an arm, he still does everything the rest of us do.

Personally, I do not know anyone who has lost a limb, so I asked joe if I could start a thread where people could ask him how he does things the rest of us do, but with half as many arms.

Hey Joe, how do you manage to not only type on a keyboard, but at the same rate as the rest of us? Do you have a special keyboard? Can you type exceedingly fast with one hand?

d7freestyler: no problem playing soccer! i dont drive a stick, driving is no big deal. i need to be a little more cautious since i dont have real depth perception anymore.

The Judge: video games are iffy. i really like the wii, but i can get by w/ most.

EMCE: water does a good job usually take a soaped up cloth and clean my arm w/ the nub

punchmonk: i apply deodorant w/ my right arm. i tie a tie well only after a lot of practice. . nope, sorry. i was left handed. i try to help out w/ whatever moving i can; i actually can lift quite a bit as long as the person on the other end helps keep the item steady w/o rotating it any

jackleg: its an abbreviation for the type of amputation. technically im what they call a left transradial (forearm), but a lot of people (doctors, prosthetic technicians, etc) write it as lbe (left below elbow). if it were my right hand it would be rbe.

benz240: yep, i had it and sometimes still do. therapy has helped, but i almost always still feel like my hand is there, and when it hurts it feels like im clinching my fist as hard as i can with the neverending pins & needles
