This is pertinent information, especially if I end up without a 2-car garage when I buy a house.

They get sold on Craigslist from time to time and usually pretty cheap. Is the site set up in a way that it could be hauled in on a truck and set into place?

i'd look into those metal buildings. all you do is prepare the site and they come in and put it up in less than a day. my dad has been pricing a small workshop with one roll up door and one service door and he says he couldn't build it out of wood for the same price.

Anything greater than 144sq ft will need a permit.esp if you want power run t it.

there used to be Shed Depot on Capitol Blvd.I did a project 7ish years ago and they made me a custom kit and I put the whole thing together. It was wood and if I remember right it was $800-$100, I'd say 12'x12'?? anyways if they're still open I'd recommend checking them out, they have all sorts of options (they build, you build and they give you a kit, custom make something, etc)
