There is a lot of them on alcohol via google, many of them will also compare your drinking patterns against others based on survery research.Just remember addictions and heavy use are heavily underreported for alcohol and even more for drugs in scholarly survery research (even anonymous surverys conducted by research universities). Basically, many people underreport/lie when the action is considered socially undesirable. There are several reasons for this (1) many times 4-5 ranges are given, and people don't like to report the higher one, (2) sometimes its a question like how many drinks per week or per day and people don't really want to put the truth, (3) the major problem is that the actual definitions of addiction, heavy use/problem drinker, unsafe use, etc is highly disputed in the scholarly community.I will ask one of our med grad students for good websites/or scholarly articles and report back to you.[Edited on April 9, 2008 at 4:31 AM. i would suggest that you try journals rather than sifting through google.
