i got some 1099 form...do i have to file for just the state or state and federal? i got 3 forms that say for state tax dept, for recepient, and "to be filed with recipients stat income tax return when required"....so like i just file it for state or both? this is lame i usually just do 1040ezcopy 1, copy 2, and copy b...thats what i got[Edited on April 8, 2008 at 3:43 PM. wtf...i just used taxslayer.com and they say i owe federal 80 bucks...that cant be right...i've never paid anything ever and always got back money....it says i have to pay 144 in a "one half of self employment tax"...it says its 72 and then doubles it to 144 later on on line 27...thats gotta be wrong[Edited on April 8, 2008 at 4:41 PM.
