did it ever even get approved for sure? i haven't seen anything about it recently, last i heard they had hit some more opposition.

it's going to be one hell of a facility and revolutionize the publicity of drag racing if it's completed.

charlotte is already scheduled to hold the first NHRA national in NC ever on 9-13-08 I think

i went to pinks @ rockingham last year. was good but cold/windy as fuck and we spent most of our time outside drinking...probably didn't get my 20$ worth of racing but it was fun

I got back this afternoon, weather was great down there. Had a lot of fun, but I dont think I will be driving 5 hours to do it again. Episode airs Aug 14th I think, they announced it so many times that I blocked it from my mind.

this guy was the first fuck up. the worst part of this event is the time it takes to clean up oil downs. period.






i still dont know what to say. none of it was very impressive.

this damn DSM was running pretty quick, but left "synthetic tranny fluids" all the way down the track. rich ran around with his hands on his hips shaking his head- cameras about 2ft behind him at all times. what a primadonna.

yeah, that's always what eats time at any strip. at least a track/event like that has some decent equipment. got a test and tune somewhere around here and it's just a couple of guys out there with a mop, broom, and a torch while you sit in the staging lanes for an hour. it's also why drag racing is never broadcast live. the addition of 4 lane tracks is going to change that though.

it looked like it was still in the 200s? The ones i remember seeing always out mph the fuel guys but didn't have the e.t.
