I tried to do a search, but I think the function is temporarily down.Anyway, does anyone have a suggestion about how to create RSS feeds?

this is a really vague question, seeing as how we would need to know what you are trying to make an RSS feed of.i'm really not trying to be an ass but have you tried google. The first links look like they'll help you at least better define the scope: http://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+create+rss+feed&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

yeah.. I could help you. But need more details.Hosting it yourself?Basically you just need to find an .xml file and adjust it to your needs.

all right, say I want to create a widget that displays music news that it is pulling from sacbee.com's entertainment wire feed.I don't want other entertainment news stories mixed it, only ones that are published to a music news section within the wires.

creating a widget and creating a feed are two different things. aside from that, they already provide the rss feed. did you look? http://www.sacbee.com/122/index.rssnow as for your widget, that is a loosely defined term. are you talking about a mac dashboard widget? a yahoo desktop widget, google desktop widget, or what?

I know they are different. But you can use a widget to display RSS. I'm not worried about creating the widget, that's not my job. I just need to figure out the RSS.And that RSS feed is all music content created locally. I want music news from the wire. Here is their entertainment wire feed:http://www.sacbee.com/977Now how do I create an RSS that only pulls music news from that section?Hell, here is their entertainment wire RSS:http://www.sacbee.com/977/index.rssHow do I filter the music news?[Edited on April 5, 2008 at 3:33 PM. This is N&O's music wire news RSS feed:http://www.newsobserver.com/2162/index.xmlMiami Herald's:http://www.miamiherald.com/864/index.xmlN&O, Miami and sacbee are all owned by the same parent company, and work off the same CMS. However, I believe N&O subscribes specifically to a music wire news feed, whereas sacbee only subscribes to the generic entertainment feed.So I'm trying to figure out how to filter content without having to establish subscriptions.I hope that helps

OK, forget sacbee. I found their subscription. Now, in general ... If I can't find a subscription. How can I filter RSS results?

The site for our podcast is on Blogger, and Blogger provides a feed. I run that through Feedburner, and that's the feed I submit to directories. People say not to, but it shows up on iTunes, so I don't give a fuuuuuuuuuuu
