idk you'd have to talk to your professor.....as far as i know, the only way at this point to get the class dropped would be talking to the student health center counselors, but that drops your whole schedule, you cant just say one particular class you are doing bad in....girls are good liars and get away with a lot more than dudes so you could prolly figure something out

In one of my classes freshman year, the prof offered an open invitation for anyone who was doing really horribly in the class to drop a few weeks before the end and said he would work it out. So I think professors have the power to get you out of the class (either that or he was full of crap). Whether yours will consider that, though, is another story.

You CAN drop at this point, but it's a royal pain. You have to go to registration and records and get a drop/add or change in schedule form (whatever it's called these days). You'll then have to collect signatures from various people including your adviser, college and/or department head, the class instructors, who ever else they want... Of course, you have to have some sort of reason to get these signatures and the any of the people that have to sign can turn you down. In practice, I've found that most people will just sign and not ask a reason. You won't get any money back and you have to be explicitly clear with registration and records that this is a drop without grade. Make you have that without grade part confirmed. Obviously, this same process works for adding classes as well.

you can ask your professor and advisor and department head to give you an incomplete grade in the coursethen you have a semester to make up the work and pass the class. You dont even have to re-register for the course (in fact they tell you not to) you just have to complete the rest of the work that you didnt complete when taking the class originally

Way back when I was at State, I got a class dropped, dnl is right, you have to go to student health. I think i was down to 3 classes and i think i dropped 1 of them late. I was able to keep the other 2 though. It was Fall semester for me, had a rough summer session and I was just burned out(signing up for 18hrs didn't help). After that semester I took a semester off(actually went to community) then came back and all was good.

Why the hell do you want to drop a course this late into the semester? You've basically only got one month left, can't you hold on for just a little longer?

you can drop if the instructor (department) of the course and your dean approve. you would actually get the schedule revision form from the department teaching the course - not R&R.e-mail me if you have any questions.mailto:nicole_wood@ncsu.edu ; Assistant Registrar[Edited on April 6, 2008 at 8:50 AM.
