One of my computers kept randomly dropping back an hour even after I manually set it. Turns out it was updating its time from time.windows.com on a daily basis. It came across random because sometimes the request failed.I've since disabled automatically getting the time from a time server.Anyone else besides me getting a time from time.windows.com that isn't adjusted for DST?

Did you get the patch a year and change ago when they moved daylight savings time around?Might be part of the issue.

You most likely had the wrong timezone selected and it was recalculating every time it did a sync. At least thats the sort of shit that happens to me every time I've setup NTP.

Yes, that patch is in. The clock changed with the actual DST, but then got set back to the wrong time by time.windows.com.The time zone has been set to EST ever since the initial OS install.[Edited on March 28, 2008 at 4:41 PM. Reason : -]

you can try time.nist.gov, but if time.windows was the problem it would be a pretty big deal.
