im a guy and age does matter to me. i have a 4 year rule. i will date a girl thats 4 years younger or 4 years older. if they dont fall within that window i wont consider it. i will however sleep with someone outside of the window, just not date them.

i think its all about what stage you are in life. i know that i would have a hard time dating someone in college (i'm 26) there are just way too many differences in the lifestyles of mid-20's professional and college student.

but even if it seems like you guys may be in the same stage in life, you might not be. i had a guy friend who is 25 who dated one of my girl friends who was 40. while i think it was fun for them in the beginning it ended up being a complete disaster. I subscribe to the 20% rule typically (stick to within 20% of your age up or down). So a 24yo is from 19 to 29. I know its a wide range, but age is hardly an indicator of maturity whatsoever.

Age makes no difference at all. I've met 20 year old girls more mature than 35 year old women (although its pretty rare). I think you can find greater disparities in men. Im 24 and act a lot more mature than a bunch of my friends in their early thirties.

That being said...I like to date older women (late 20s, early thirties, even a couple 40-year olds)...you're going to deal with stupid shit with any woman (and man for that matter I guess), but a lot less with older women...and you don't play as many games.
