alright guys.
i'm vacuuming out my car. and there is sawdust in it.
a lot of sawdust.
a lot.
i have a convertible and want to put the top down this weekend, so i cant have this white dust e'ery where.
i tried two of those gas station vacuums, but neither one is strong enough.
i need something that'll suck the interior right out of your car

where to go?

Someone make a joke about sucking the interior right out of the backseat of her car - make sure it involves a slut, preferably in a sorority

1. open the doors and open the convertible top
2. borrow leaf blower
3. blow all types of shit out of your car including saw dust
4. profit
5. give treetwista a "special favor" for the advice

you'd be half way to home depot already and instead you are reading tww...in fact i bet you could have been back - used/cleaned - driven back to home depot and returned the shopvac before you leave the house again with a better solution

how about this

1. drive to 440
2. get up to like 60mph
3. open your convertible top
4. let the wind clean your car out
5. see #5 of previous TT10 post

take it to a full service car wash and have them cut you a deal for just a vacuum

maybe you should get a wash and an interior detail too, though?
I'm sure they'll offer

if it is embedded in the carpet where a vacuum won't get it out, use duct tape, wrap it around your hand and stick it to the stuff, then pull it off

Do you need a carwash?

Are you in cary? If so, go to Apex, on hgwy 55 closer to US 1, there is a new car wash that has probably 20 vacs around the wash. The vacs are included in the wash, and you can take your time.

take it to the duck and ask how much it will cost

http://www.scruffy-duck.com/

otherwise you will probably need a vacuum with a brush since the sawdust will be tangled in the carpet loops

i always thought a shop-vac was one of those appliances that every household should have. like a toaster or something.

yeah, you need something with a beater brush attachment to clean all the dust out of the upholstery

you could probably use a regular vacuum with a beater brush (carpet vacuum), but for the nooks and crannies you would need an attachment

The same place that has the carwash/free vacs in apex (Carolina Auto Spa) has a full service place in Cary, on Maynard near High House, across from the Volvo dealership. It's my favorite place, $5 to run through their professional-grade wash, they towel-dry your car, and the vacs are free.

1. get handful of quarters
2. go to the carwash with vacuums right up the street from planet fitness since you're apparently in that area anyway.
3. OMG BUY A VACUUM, USE IT THEN RETURN IT TO THE STORE BECAUSE THAT IS A TOTALLY DECENT THING TO DO!

You need a shopvac for this, one way or the other. Aint no car cleaning place that will do this right.

If you dont like Omar's idea (which is a good one btw, half the shopvac's at home depot/lowes are reboxed returns anyway) then go to ANY cabinet shop in town, bat your eyes at them, and borrow a shop vac.

Or, borrow one from someone on here, there's got to be at least a couple dozens people with shopvacs

Also they are totally worth the money, especially the legit wet/dry ones. If you get one to keep, spend the extra 20-30 to get one step up from the ultra cheapo models

She is already borrowing a shopvac from someone on here (me).
I think that's why she hasn't comment in this thread in a while.

I use a shop vac.

I don't get large amounts of sawdust in it though. I do get a lot of dust due to it being a convertible however.
