how about an application that monitors how much time they spend on the site? maybe it lets them lock themselves out of the site for certain times of the day lol

I had an idea for a facebook app recently.Inspired from the "top friends" thing. Make a "Would bone" list. so a user can pick celebrities, friends, etc that they would like to get it on with. User can choose if their list is public or private etc. Then if there is a match (each person selects the other), there is some type of notice.

lawl i'd love for an employer to see my would bwn list

Make an application that blocks all the fucking application invites I keep getting.

make a facebook application that parses your google calendar's activities and displays it on your home.

Make an app that logs the HTTP_REFERRER field. Most of the time it's going to be from the home page's news feed, but sometimes you might get people clicking from other peoples' profile pages.

how about an app like the bookshelf app except it keeps track of dvd collections?i guess there's one out there already though

Another feature of my "would bone" list facebook app idea. it should incorporate a cheating pardon by the significant other. For example, Joe lists 15 people on his "would bone" list, mostly celebrities. Joe's significant other, Jane, can choose some of those people which he is allowed to do it with, if given the opportunity, and its not considered cheating. that would make it pretty interestingMaybe for every 1 person that Jane allows Joe to bone, she can also pick someone she can bone with no penalty.

That is hilarious ...Definitely doable. It makes you think, how many couples out there these days would be game for something like this? I am going to say 10%. Thats still an incredible userbase.Only problem is getting people to trust a Facebook application to coordinate all this craziness.WOLFTRAP:Let me know if you have any ideas you want to get together for. I have created two functioning facebook applications, and I am very knowledgeable about what can and cannot be done with the facebook platform.

Additionally, you could make a "most likely to be boned" list for each school/organization/group/whatever. Facebook Pages also allow the page creator to add applications, so they could display the number of people who want to bone them (these pages are made for things like celebrities, businesses, really anything you want)I guess there are a few tweaks to the idea, but keeping it simple is definitely the best way to go.

a "20 Question Date" application...like speed dating. You invite whomever you would like to go on a 20 question date with you and make up 20 questions you would ask a date for them to answer.... or you could send them one question - then they get to ask you one question and rinse and repeatThen you depending on the answers you select whether you would have hooked up on that first date, kissed, smacked each other, left the date with someone else who is better, etc... maybe option for a real date irl... but we would not be responsible for creepy dudes killing bitches

here's another idea I have for a facebook app, although not as scalable as the other ideas:undergrads are always complaining about how far they have to walk to get to classes, especially when they have a class in thompson and then have to go to the other side of campus or somethingmake a facebook app that shows a map of where the person has to walk each day and calculates the mileage. "OMG Johnny Johnson walks 1.502 miles between classes or 932449 paces which is also the length of 2340324983 paperclips!!!!!"you could manually enter where you go, by putting in the building codes and times, or it could pull the data from your class schedule that you can already enter into facebook
3/28/2008 3:01:28 PM
class schedules are not done by facebook anylonger...Cool idea though. I already have in the works a way for students to tag campus buildings via a googlemap, and I am trying to create a central campus map for all universities with it.Once done, this is actually a very very doable idea. I had in mind actually a "freshman orientation" thing, where they could put in the order of places they go in a day, and then I would have the maps and photos of the campus put together a virtual tour automatically. I think that would be a pretty cool project once finished.
3/28/2008 4:04:43 PM
i hold all rights to my idea...they may be bought for a % cut
3/28/2008 4:52:56 PM
you should make an application that crashes facebookfor the good of humanity
3/28/2008 8:40:01 PM
speed dating application already exists, by the way.
3/28/2008 10:13:43 PM
but not a speed dating for tdubbers applicationhuh? huh?
