I just got a new laptop and I've been trying to decide whether to download Itunes and use that to buy and download all my music or try something else. I know Itunes music can only be played in Itunes so I was thinking about downloading music from somewhere else that will give me mp3's and use something like winamp to play it. Should I use Itunes like everyone else or look for alternatives?

Itunes has DRM free music you know. Use Itunes, their selection is top notch and its not too hard to find free Itunes music store promotions (for example, some facebook group offered 10 free tracks to each person that joined).Itunes rules

I use itunes. I often buy songs or albums from itunes. A couple of times recently I've downloaded albums from amazon (as mp3s), just because they weren't available on itunes, but I still listen to them with itunes.itunes!

^^ Just in case it wasn't clear, when Judge says DRM free that means it'll play in anything that can play MP4.However, if you don't have an ipod, several other stores have DRM free too, so it doesn't hurt to try those out as well.
